A Rare Beauty

A portrait of Rarity, sort of companion to the Spike pic. I seriously need to draw more humanized ponies.

Honestly, the last human pony I drew was almost a year ago when I first watched the show. Comparing the two, it's interesting seeing how far my style's come. ^^ Anyway, I refferenced a pic of Natalie Dormer (Anne Boleyne, Tudors and Margaery Tyrell, Game of Thrones). I mean, this girl is soooooo beautiful. And THOSE EYES. I knew she'd be a perfect Rarity. But then I found the original picture this was refferenced from....I thought I'd have to change Natalie's hair and outfit for this pic, but the original photo had the EXACT hair and EXACT dress I had in mind. I mean, how often do you get a photo like that!?

P.S. I think I'll try more portraits like this. I'm lovin' the Chiaroscuro here (thank you art appreciation for telling me exactly what the hell I'm doing. lol )
