The Aurora

I'm slowly working my way to watching all the Disney movies from my childhood and drawing fanart of each. So, here's my Brother Bear fanart (which I suddenly remembered while watching Brave). You can see I channeled a bit of Colors of the Wind in this pic too.

Anyway, I remember this was the Disney movie I hated most as a kid. I didn't get along with my brother, and my mom called me "bear", so when they bought us this movie I thought it was a conspiracy between my parents and Disney, trying to get me to get along with my bro. Of course since then I've made up with him, and I've gotten a third bro. If we were in this movie I'd be the one that dies. :>

Did I mention how hard those aurora were to draw? No? Well they were very VERY hard, as in took up about 50% of the painting time. I did have fun painting Kenai though. He has an interesting facial structure. And that Totem. I have no idea why it's floating but oh well I like it.

And now I'm conflicted between the old-Renaisance style coloring I like or the super rich, colorful Disney movie style I also like. :<
